Hi. I feel like this has to be a fairly common metal vase, but I can only find one picture online, and it's to a dead Etsy link. So if anyone can help me identify this further, I'd appreciate it! Age, metal, artificial patina, etc.

    Thanks!

When I search Japan bronze rectangular dandelion vase, an image that matches my vase comes up as the 4th or 5th image. Following that link, however, does not lead to the item nor lead to any more info.

I've tried reverse-searching for that image, and I've tried searching with other metals and other terms, but nothing.

Can anyone recommend a search tip or search term?

Or does anyone have advice about Japanese metalware or when that particular 'made in Japan' sticker was used? The Etsy link calls it Meiji period, but I can't believe it.

    Again, thank you!

Not too long ago. 1960-1970ish, if I remember correctly. Let's see if others remember the same.

I tried using more generic terms like 'metal' & 'flowers'. No joy.

I feel like that has to be the case. The wear--actually the lack of wear--just couldn't be 100 years old.

    Thanks for the opinion.

And actually, I feel like the aesthetic and design fit that period too...

They are not flowers, try dandelion seeds.
