japanese cache pot can anyone ID the hallmark?

    Very odd item - all the decor looks European, not Japanese. The buildings, the people and their clothing, the animals....

    Are you sure it's Japanese? It looks very much like some of the "decorator" pieces made 1990s or so in China.

    733. Mark: Da Qing Qianlong Nian Zhi - "Great Qing Qianlong Period Make". Tentative date: 1960s. period.

    The mark looks pretty similar except for the first top character on the left.


    Maybe we would get further if we focused on which country is known for leopard skin and purple horses?

    Hi, am sorry, I can not help ID your mark, I just wanted to say a hallmark is a fineness mark on metal (silver, gold etc.). On ceramics it is just a mark :)
