This is a flea market find. I got an excellent deal due to the damage. The mark seems a little extensive compared to other piece of Kutani I've seen. Any help deciphering it is appreciated.

Hi, I saw your post by chance now, I hope you are still interested... The mark reads "Dai Nippon Kaga no Kuni Watano Sei Zo", which means "Great Japan, Kaga prefecture, made by Watano". Date would be Meiji period. Nice piece!

It doesn't say Kutani, then, does it?

No, but Kaga is the area where Kutani was made.
