Featured Japanese large hand painted / enameled plate - "Basket Flowers" - help with mark please.

    This plate came along with some other items on a table lot. It is 11" across & is hand painted / enameled.

    Hoping someone can help me out with the paper labels & the red characters. I did look through Gotheborg, but if it is in there I did not find it. :(:(

    It's Japanese. The symbol for the yen appears on one of the labels.

    Well that explains why I could not find the marks on the Chinese portion of Gotheborg. ;):p:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::bag::bag::bag:

    Also thanks for helping me learn what the symbol for the yen looks like. :happy::happy:

    @daveydempsey - Is there any way you can change the word Chinese to Japanese in the title? I tried but could not figure out a way to do it & I wan to make sure the right people look in on this thread.

    I can only read the right column of the Japanese mark, it reads "Hizen Arita made", The left column would be the name of the maker. On the paper label there is an Orchid and the name "Koransha", a very famous porcelain maker, but that does not fit with the mark on the dish itself. So this is an interesting piece!
