Featured japanese perfume bottle maybe

hi all one of my nicer buys from japan. around 4 inches high has a glass bottle inside with silver wrapped around. I look for anything with dragons and this has lovely dragons on both sides. anyone have an idea on age please struggled to find any real details of mark on bottom chris

WAI KEE? sounds chinese hopefully others will confirm.

 

uh I was looking at walkee so that makes sense thanks interesting is chinese the dragon looks like 3 toed so that's why I though japanese still happy with it though

 

Wai Kee is a Hong Kong jeweler, founded in 1885, your piece is .900 silver, and would almost certainly date prior to WWII - looks like a perfume bottle to me...

Very nice find, Chris. Wai Kee is one of the manufacturers of both domestic and export silver. If you sell it, be sure to add 'Chinese Export Silver', there are collectors out there.

to keep the dragon theme noticed this and apparently it's a 1904 japanese calendar he seemed really certain it was did some checkinh for me its in really nice condition

 

and the other nicer purchase imo only. the store had some of the woodblock single pages from book pictures but hidden away he had 2 complete books which I got excited about. the first was by utagawa yoshikazu and is a samurai story lots of detail . the second is a complete shunga novel interested to find out by my japanese host that these were also teaching aids from mother to daughter lovely book didn't post the more erotic pictures unfortunately he couldn't tell me the artist. might not appeal to some but they are dated mid 1800s
