Japanese plate with bubbles in the glaze.

    This plate struck me as a little odd as I've never seen bubbles in the glaze before. Least not in a Japanese plate destined for export. I'm kind of surprised it made it out of the factory door with all the bubbles and defects it has got in the glaze. Still I do like the colours. Think it might be a pre WWII “Made in Japan” instead of post given the thickness and quality although they are not a guarantee. Size 24.5cm round and 0.76Kg.
