Does anyone know anything about this? Most importantly does anyone know what it says?
I've tried on many searches to figure out what it says.
It does say Japan on the bottom.
    Any info is greatly appreciated!

    Looks 1960s.70s.

Look up Chokin ware. I think that is what the top with the bird is.
If you have a Sunshine cloth, it might look better with a little rub.

00AF3EB1-EF38-437B-ABD1-75631F679E51.jpeg This has some similarities but is a music box. Can’t link the site but it was called music boxes online. Plus yours has a singing bird on the top which made me think music box although yours isn’t.

Yeah I did see similar ones like mine, but like you said they have music boxes. And I didn't see the writing on them like mine.
Did this one have the writing?

Used for polishing jewelry and small silver items.
    Not meant for flatware services.

You should be able to find them for under $5.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Looking in the volunteer translators thread, @ludovic is the only person who has volunteered for Japanese. @ludovic is a fairly new member who last logged in about a month ago. I have tagged him/her and maybe a notification will be sent.
