Japanese WWII Collection maybe from prominent officers

    Ok we are in charge of liquidation of an estate. We just got into a safe that was on premises without a key. According to the records we found in the house someone was a relative of the Van Voorhis family. There were many officers from before WWII through WWII and after WWII with that last name. In a wallet belonging to one of the relatives there was even a hand drawn seating chart showing a Lt. Van Voorhis sitting at a front table with two tables full of Japanese named people. I don’t know where to begin because these could be of some significance

    Tanslating the writing on the Good Luck Flag may give clues to who the owner was.

    Hi, Have you got anywhere with your samurai? I think I have one similar. It is broken and I will have to amend it but I would be interested to know if you had found anything out about it?
