    Hi,
this belongs to a friend, trying to figure out who made this. I haven't seen it in person yet. Maybe from the early 1900s?
Has a repair on one foot, no jardiniere with it.
    Thanks for looking.

JMHO. foot should be washed out with mild soap water to see if there's the remnants of a mark. 1890s - 1914 as a timeframe. most probably from the continent, Eichwald comes to my mind.

Sorry, can't help, but I am fascinated by that repair on the foot. I can imagine a brace like that supporting a break in a metal piece, but how does it work on a ceramic pedestal? It's a beautiful piece. I'm glad someone took the time to fix it.

I've got old cut glass with a repair like that.

Ah - I see now. It's a 4-footed pedestal, not 2-footed. I thought the two smaller points on the base were ornamental.

Thank-you fid, I'll see what I can find. I saw this today and it is gorgeous!! Can only imagine what it would have been like with the pot on top.

further problem will be to find a cache-pot that fits the hole/ has the appropriate "bulge" at the bottom. like this one:
    http://www.ebay.de/itm/151697967639...l?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=151697967639&_rdc=1

all in all in this state not much value, is it ? in good nick I find them complete for about 400 to 500 €, so this one wouldn't be more than 5 to 10 %. IMO not worth listing on ebay, too much risk of a haphazard buyer that will give you problems after reception.

Nope, wouldn't attempt to sell this on-line, the shipping would be crazy high.
I like that pot in the link you posted!
