I’ve tried to do my due diligence with this one but again I’m back cap in hand for some help please.
Yes, damaged :( and in need of that Chinese? (Edited, Japanese) art where they repair something beautiful with a beautiful repair but it’s name escapes me.
1)I have deduced it’s probably Jet due to the feel of it, the colour/look of the break and the conchoidal fractures I believe Jet gets if broken?.
    2) It’s French (if that’s a boars head?) See I have been paying attention in class.
    3) That’s it as my French is too rubbish to translate the possibilities of the pictorial stamp between the J & L.
Any help please to decide what that picture is?
    @kyratango any suggestions please?
I’ve included the list of French silver smiths J&L
    Thankyou for any help :)

:...in need of that Chinese? art where they repair something beautiful with a beautiful repair..."

Don't know about such repair technique in China, but the Japanese do such work in gold. It's called Kintsugi.

There are practitioners of the ancient craft still working...and taking commissions! Ver' costly...but in many cases a good value to preserve something fine that has met with misfortune.

That’s the one! Thankyou. I knew it was one or t’other.
I will have to Kintsugi this bangle.

French, you're right! The lozenge shaped maker's mark is unmistakable :)
Boar's head (your pic needs to be turned to the left to see it!:joyful:)
For the maker... no idea of what is the symbol between the letters:(
    Does indeed look like jet:cyclops:
    Kintsugi, yep:)

Poor little baby.:( It is still a beauty though.
Onyx also has black conchoidal fractures when damaged. Onyx is more in keeping with the style of the bangle, and with the size.
They have silvertone kintsugi sets nowadays.;)
It is only a partial mark.:arghh:
