    When taking pictures of jewelry should I have my hdr on or off or on auto? any other tips would be greatly appreciated

    I am just a simpleton and use 'macro', the little flower symbol, when taking pictures of jewellery.

    A light background and natural daylight often works, but that can be different for different jewels. You can experiment a little and see what works best.
    No flash.:)
