Bought this locally and was trying to find some information on the web. Not much data on the manufacturer and none on this cabinet.

Is anyone familiar with it? It seems that it has been painted before or at least some staining applied to it. I was wondering if anyone has any idea about value, age and whether I should consider restoring it or leave it as is. Thanks.

Is it for records (usually held upright) or sheet music (usually held flat, like the shelves in your cabinet). I'm afraid the value is not high since there is very little demand; if you have a use for it, then do whatever you want with it (and at least find a pair of matching door pulls that look good).

I searched a phonograph trade publication, and that company did not place ads in it. It's a style of cabinet that you would see in the teens and could be used to store disc records.

This style of horizontal record storage is least desirable. If you are going to place a table top phonograph on it, then it is an easy strip, stain, varnish job. I would alter the interior and make two compartments to stow 10" & 12" record binders vertically.

To me, it would be a $30 fixer-upper, a bit more for oak.

PS: It can be used like this ...
