I am in the middle of an inventory of my parent's house and am working on furniture that I believe may be worth some money. This chair was made by John Stuart Inc., and has a brass plate on the front, below the seat, with the name of the designer, but I can't decipher it. Sorry for the flash. The chair was reupholstered sometime in the 1970s. I remember it being black and white when I was growing up but who knows. Thanks for your help.

I daresay I like this browner fabric selection more than I would have liked the colors of black and white!

This chair reminds me of the time I was living in St. Pete Fl in the 80s and went to look at a house to rent that was chock full of MCM furniture. I asked the guy if he was going to leave it and he said "yep, and if the renters dont want it Im putting it by the curb". I didnt take the house, but I did buy a huge circular wood coffee table with inlay around the edges for $20 ! Long gone,of course, but i often wonder what all that furniture would be worth now!
