I went to an estate sale today and picked up this beautiful platter and several other things. I really haven't had time to look anything up on it yet. I can do that tomorrow but just wanted to show this to you because I know that you all love beautiful things. You don't need to look it up for me, just wanted to share. It is 20 X 9 and reads Victoia Austria I believe. Victoria fish platter1.png Victoria fish platter2.png Victoria fish platter3.png

    Lovely.
Obviously, and you probably already know, it's a fish platter.

I know I posted this already but I am a little confused by the markings. All the posted platters I find have a stamp that says Carlsbad on them. There are some that have the same stamp as mine with the crown but do not say Carlsbad but are listed as Carlsbad. ??????? Help!

Uliwitch, if I recall correctly, Carlsbad is a PLACE, not a company, per se. I think a lot of different manufacturers used the word Carlsbad on their products.

and as SBSVC rightly points out - Carlsbad was often used.
because there was not only the city, but also the Landkreis (county) of the same name. and for export it was better to mark with the name of a renowned spa than a little village outside the city. it can help - sometimes, not here - to find the age of items, because in this case Altrohlau became part of Carlsbad in 1976.
