Just for fun - Thomas Johnson fixes a courting mirror

    The Smithsonian and the Met say Courting Mirror, so I'm inclined to go with that for a name. Some say Chinese origin, some say Scandinavian. The one he's working on looks like the edge glass is almost grain painted, so I'd guess Scandi for his. Oh, and he has a nice fuzzy tortie associate. The doggie died of old age a year ago.

    It looks European to me, reminds me a bit of Swedish 'kurbits' painting.
