Just saying hi!

    Hello everyone!

    I have always been fascinated by antiques and the history behind every single object. Where most people would see just a piece of furniture/vase/etc., etc, etc, I imagine the stories behind it, the people who talked about it, the people who touched it, the stories it witnessed. Probably not what you would expect from a 32 years old, but that's me...I am tired of assembly line/put together yourself pieces...and I am on a quest to re-furnish my entire house, so that's why I am here :) Hope to make many friends who share this passion. Please, be nice to me, I am a newbie at antiques, but I hope to learn from each of you!

    Thanks for making some room for me :)

    Hi Veronica,
    Welcome welcome. It is nice to find someone who has a head on her shoulders. Throw out the garage. I learned a long time ago, buy new in a few years it is trash. Buy old and it will serve you and perhaps make a profit. I am waiting to hear "Oh look, white resin chairs like Grandma had in the 1980s".:D

    Welcome, Veronica. I know just how you feel. My grandparents gave me a 200 year-old 3/4 bed (the kind with ropes), when I outgrew my crib. Still have it, still love it, and that's what started me!
