This is not antique but it is vintage. I also have a rug in the same technique of embroidery. I am wondering is this technique called Namda? or is there another name for this type of embroidery. It is wool. Is this generally from India or are there other places? Last question. Is this just a design or a stylized word written in Kashmiri?
