Korean War bowls???

    They are inscribed with: Colonel & Mrs. Smith on one side & Major General Kim Chong Oh - Superintendant K.M.A

    The engravings on the lids (?) are incredible if done by hand. Hard to get descent pic of. Hate to clean them till I know more. There is a mark on the bottom of the big bowl & the li'l bowl is only one without names inscribed as above stated.

    KMA is the Korean Meteorological Administration. So it may not have anything to do with the war, per se, but they probably are Korean.

    They'd be more collectible if they had some age patina, but with the bright brass they could have been made yesterday. Lacking size info, valuation can't be done.
