Aloha, Researching the history of a Japanese artist who lived in Pahoa, Hawaii for a time. We have a few of his wood prints? Not sure of the medium actually, but they are beautiful. Signed in the 90's by Kunio Abe. The content ranges from Monkeys to An Old Hawaiian Man with others of Japanese scenes. Will try to get pictures up soon.
Aloha, hola, and welcome to the Forums. I myself couldn't find anything on your artist, but there are some real brainiacs here! Looking forward to seeing the prints.
Hi @Str8aloha and Welcome! I have also been searching for this artist, I have a paper cutting by him that I bought in Hilo. I found a man with that name on facebook but I'm too shy to cold contact him.
@GaleriaGila I made a post asking about this artist and showing my piece about a year ago here on the boards. I see Str8aloha found my other thread here. Aloha
Want me to contact him, anti??? I'm not shy (surprised? not!). Edit - I searched for "Kunio Abe" and there's a bunch of them. Which is the one you're looking for, I wonder...?
