Kurtz <Kortz> and Co?

Found a small metal trinket box - could be light pewter, cast metal...unsure.

However, it had three duplicate marks in the inside base that said "Kurtz and Co" with an angel bearing a sword in one hand and something else in the other.

The interweb doesn't know who or what this is...does anyone out there know?

I'm including an image of the marks.

 

A photo of the entire item might be of some help to others.

 

Can't tell if it's pewter or cast metal. Or even silver, though the lack of silver marks makes this obvious.

the angel is always pewter.
most probably Kurtz in Stuttgart, a company with a long history.
