    Hi,
I have what I believe is a Kutani tea set. Can anyone one confirm this? And if you can, what is the pattern?

    Thank you!

The Kutani question answer is yes.

    See here: https://www.gotheborg.com/marks/kutani.shtml

Your pattern question probably does not have a conclusive answer. "Pattern names" are European and American "thing." But we can discuss the Kutani "style" only if you post pictures of the decoration.

I'm unsure how to resize pictures so they will upload here. The picture of the bottom of the cup uploaded fine, but now it's telling me my file size is too large or I'd post more pictures so we can discuss the pattern

Even after resizing to the smallest I can go. I still can't upload any other pictures. Could I email them to you? I'd be more than happy to send them to someone else and maybe they can get it to work

No, we don't do that. But have you tried loading them to the Gallery? If you can, then we can give the simple directions for accessing the gallery images to your thread.

Sorry I'm new. What is the gallery? Or perhaps where is the gallery?

Michelle, all new members have difficulty posting photographs at first. Not to worry at all.

Good job, Michelle! To "embed" your pictures into a post in this thread, click on the little camera in the toolbar which will ask you to "browse" aka select your pictures. Follow the instructions to place them into the post.

Nice! There are 2 things about this group that implies a date Post WW2 (at least to me.) That "tray" and cup are often called a luncheon or buffet set - each person attending an event at someone's home would have a set like this to carry around while they "mingled" - and the design itself with a landscape and lots of white space around it.

You can scroll through all the pictures in the marks link and click on the "larger picture" links to better see the designs and get a feel for them and the dates quoted in the description.
