Found this little stash today. @Northern Lights Lodge
I think they are all handmade except maybe the last one, the last circular one could be crocheted and the last pic is thicker wool like thread, not sure I would call that lace? Not sure if that one is handmade or as I said be called lace.
I have 3 pieces of the first little circular doily which I think may be bobbin lace.
    They are my favourites.

    Hi Houseful,
You posted some of your lacy bits! :)

Yes, photo #1 and 2 are handmade. But it is not bobbin lace! It is not knit, crochet or tatting. I'll have to look into that one... I'm not familiar enough to give a name without being sure!

Photo #3 and 4 are unfortunately, machine made. They have bobbin design elements like the zig zag and the oval. But it is machine. Probably circa 1920-30.

The same can be said for the upper lace in photo #4 and 5. Machine made.
The lower lace in #5 and 6 is hand made crochet. Circa 1920-1950.

Photo #7 and 8 - is indeed handmade crochet... probably sometime before 1950.

Photo #9 and 10. Got me stumped on that one. I'm going to say that it is more of a machine made decorative braid.

After a little digging: this one is Armenian lace. They stated it was a knotted lace. I think it would be my guess; that your's is Armenian.

    Thanks for sharing with us!

Thanks Leslie. I’m going to have to do a bit more homework to recognise hand made work. At least I preferred the handmade Armenian:)
