    Hi all,

Was wondering does anyone have any details on this type of furniture.?

A similar online seems to point to Spanish from the 1940s but im not sure.

It measures 25 inches high by 22 inches wide approx

Would be great if someone has any info.

    Thanks in advance 20250415_132855_resize_27.jpg 20250415_132905_resize_71.jpg 20250415_132913_resize_17.jpg 20250415_133104_resize_25.jpg 20250415_133051_resize_24.jpg 20250415_132954_resize_7.jpg 20250415_132928_resize_64.jpg 20250415_133112_resize_34.jpg

I'm not sure I'd call that lacquered. Lacquer typically has a smooth, shiny surface. Looks more to my eye like milk paint which explains the craquelure. Let's see what others think.

I wouldn't call it lacquered either. It is a fun piece though.
It could indeed be 20th century Spanish, although I am not sure if it had this finish originally. Craquelé effect was fashionable for a while, it could have been 'tweaked' during that period.

Hard to tell under all that paint. I get more of a Mexican vibe than Spanish due to the crudeness of the drawer. Could even be an Asian colonial design piece. I see plywood in the drawer bottom and possibly in the back. Would indicate that this is not terribly old.

The exuberant floral decoration is more Colonial Spanish. Spanish Spanish furniture more typically has a geometric motif.
