Ladies compact with planes, Eiffel Tower... WW2 era or pre/post?

I picked up this interesting item at an estate sale a few years ago... a plastic?/celluloid? compact. Pictured on the front is the Eiffel Tower and six airplanes. I'm trying to decide it's age and just what theme it's meant to depict: Travel to Paris? War time in Paris? I find it unusual that there are SIX planes… and a little flag at the very top of the Tower. Makes me lean toward it being a patriotic theme. But "Made in France" is, of course, written in English… So possibly a travel souvenir? Or a gift for the girlfriend back home?
I used a touch of water to clean the powder around the "Made in France" marking and I see now that there is a capital letter S there, too. I've heard of Stratton compacts but those are made in England. The sifter is cardboard.
I've been told they are passenger, rather than war/fighting, planes. The flag at the top of the Eiffel tower does not appear to be the French tri-color flag...? Previous suggestions made to me include commemorating the Opening of the Orly airport in 1932, a souvenir of a 1930s/40s Paris Air Show, or a post-WW2 Liberation of Paris girlfriend gift?
Others I have shown it to mostly seem to lean toward 1930s but I've nothing really definite. I just thought I'd try for more info before I list.
As always, thank you for any help!

(Re: Paris Air Show. I'm leaning toward the Air Show souvenir idea... but pre- or post-WW@? The Air Show is held every two years and began in the early 20th century but was paused during WW2.)

    Any thoughts?

Aircraft are post Ww2, sort of generic twin engined passenger planes.

Hmmm, came across these photos from the 1937 Paris Exposition Internationale. The Palais de L'Air "was one of the most dynamic displays of the entire exposition".
