Featured Lamps, before and after .

    I was inspired by all the great work Ive seen on here to get off my duff and finally fix these adorable lamps .The base is actually brass ! I think they turned out rather well. :)

    No markings that I could find.I was never able to pin down anything other than maybe 1940s for age.I was fixing them up for a niece,but now I dont want to part with them! :)

    Thanks all ! I will give them to m niece,I was just funnin! Ive got WAY too much as it is,a condition I heavily suspect I share with many on this board. :)

    The shades are a perfect match for the lamps.

    Lovely job on the bases; can I ask what you used to clean & polish them?

    Ketchup! I didnt have any brasso,so I googled and voila! Ilooked for literally a year for the right shades,went everywhere,and guess where I found them? Wally world for $5 each!

    Wow, I've used ketchup on jewelry before for the "greenies", but I hadn't thought to use it on a larger scale for something like that.

    You certainly can't beat $5 each for such a perfect match!
