lane cedar chest help

    I have a Lane cedar chest my dad picked up for my mother years ago.
    its in very solid shape other than the veneer I know the serial 937140 means april 17th 1939 but I can't find any info on the style number. 481581 anybody have any ideas?

    Without photos of your chest we can't really help you much, but if the veneer is bad the value will be very small.

    Hi there I am not really concerned about the value or lack of value of the piece. I am more interested in the history of the piece itself. I know the year it was produced I just want to know what the style number relates to. thanks for responding

    LOL, Dang! Pretty hard sell there, they promised a Hubby with every chest!
    Cool Ad and, I am betting they sold a bunch of chests with that pitch!:hilarious:

    Hi,
    I have had several small jewelry boxes made by Lane as give a ways to senior girls. They matched the cedar chests only a lot smaller.
