Featured Large chinese fabric painting

found this in town(10) yesterday. Thought quite nice as a 20thc decorational thing.
thinking it might be a bit earlier looking at it today.... possibly

looks fully signed with stamp

i'm thinking chinese.........so probably japanese

measures 18 by 12 "

any thoughts or info appreciated

 

Chinese. The costumes and hairstyles are a giveaway.

 

Aha !, i must be getting somewhere as i thought chinese, it reminds me very much of those 3 panel paintings i had, not sure if as old though

 

I'd say probably not. These paintings were a popular decorator item in the West about 60 years ago, and have come around again once or twice since. I wouldn't know if this is 60 years old or 30.

 

can anyone try the image translation thing, can't seem to find that option recently ?

 

I can find it. It just seems to do naff all though. No translation. It even orates the words but no text.
