    Hey folks!

Please help me identify this tea pot. No marks or anything :(

Height approx. 34 cm (13 inches).
Got it from Sweden's antique auction.

    Thanks in advance!
    Erik

Stunning ! Im so surprised theres no marks. Obviously a quality piece. Art Nouveau for days. Maybe Jugendstil ?

I assume the only part that's wood is the handle, right?

    It’s called a “spirit kettle”.

Why the other listing includes "samovar" in the title is a mystery to me. Absolutely not a "samovar." Anund is correct = spirit kettle.

That's one of the secrets of searching ... search for what people think things are or just add as keywords. ;)

No, that's just a foot seen at an odd angle.

    JMHO.
German. in the north they were called Teemaschine - although they didn't make tea...
good ones were holding the balance when tilted for pouring.
it looks rather newish but could be an old one that was chromium plated some time; as most were copper an easy job to do.
sometimes they are called Stövchen, which is a bit unprecise because those are simple ones without pins to tilt. well known brands WMF, CDE; Electra a.o..

Thank everyone for your input. I am again much wiser now :)
Is just steel and definitely not silver plated, right?

did you check with a magnet ?
with simple steel I think it would not be used for anything drinkable.

Believe it or not, I don't have a magnet here with me right now... :D Embarrassing.
