Large vintage brass/bronze door knocker

Hey guys,

I noticed recently that vintage/antique door knockers make good money at auction which inspired me to dig this one out of the archive, which I’ve had stored for the best part of 20 years! You kinda get the impression that this thing would probably look most comfortable hanging on the front door of a haunted house - I certainly did when I purchased it all those years ago. As you can see in the photos, it features what appears to be the devil, accompanied by 3 demon type characters (imps maybe?) I have not been able to find anything quite the same, although I’ve seen plenty win just the devils face or the demon(s). What I did notice though, old, solid door knockers of this size and detail are selling for anything between £200 to £450 - it might just be time to sell after all

As haunted as it may well be, there is something quite intriguing about it, and it would be great to learn a little more info about it. I have no idea how old it is, although after some research it could be Victorian, possibly older? I’m also a little bit confused as to whether it is brass or bronze??! I always assumed it was brass but after finding similar pieces, many seem to be bronze.

So, any info, as ever, would be greatly appreciated!

Those "imps" appear to be dragons. Look at the tails.
Picture makes it look like brass. Hard to say for sure.

Sorry can't help with age. Something I know nothing about.
