Featured Leather wallet thingie - anyone recognize this?

This thing has a change purse, a flap on the back with nothing to hold anything, and a spring-loaded clamp thing on one side. The clamp unscrews in two pieces that reveal...nothing. I thought it might be a pencil but it's just metal. The language inside looks like Italian but I can't read much of it.

 

it's a wallet where the bills are held by the clamp...which should be inside the flap...

oh...wait...can you fold the spring loaded clamp....all the way towards the inside of the flap......then the bills would be held ...inside the flap...

yaya....just pick the clamp up...and twist it 180....so it comes down inside the flap....
it's still an Italian wallet !

Nope - the clamp is on the wrong side of the wallet; it's attached to the fold, not the open side. That's why it was confusing. You can't push anything held by the clamp inside the wallet.

 

If you can't fold up the clamp, and twist it around so it falls inside the folded wallet.......
then you have a broken wallet.....from italy !

Can you ease the clamp out gently, pushing against it from the bottom, and put it back in the other way round?

 

I havent seen a wallet with a bar like that in decades! Isnt that the Hermes logo?

That works. It's weird, but it works. It's a money clip and change purse. Women's wallets are often three times that size with all the stuff we have to haul around. I guess if you don't need a driver's license or credit cards it could work.

No one in their right minds would market anything like this to a woman.
