Featured Lesley Gore and Little Peggy March 1963

I mentioned these two ladies in my Buddy Holly LP thread, but I thought I’d share a couple from my vintage record collection to it’s own spot.

These are two 1963 first pressings of each of their debut albums. They are hand signed by both Lesley and Peggy. I’m going back to 1963 this evening.

I know these don’t follow the true antique designation, but they do come from a vibrant memorable time in pop culture. An era in music that lives on, at the least in my living room on my stereo.

 

I loved Lesley Gore! She wrote a couple of songs for Fame.

 

That’s right, and she was up for a Grammy for that, but her brother Michael won it.

 

They look brand new!

 

They are very well preserved LPs. My vintage record collection consists of a high percentage of mint or near mint original copies.
