Featured Liddle lion fabric painting

    hi folks, found this a charity shoppy yesterday for £1.50
    i think he's quite charming
    looks like hes painted on some kind of fabric
    bit of a long shot, but anyone have an idea where he might have came from
    any thoughts or ideas appreciated

    Well the process looks like batik if that helps.

    yeah, and the fact that the other one looks like its been painted by a child :)

    Yours immediately made me think of Clarence the cross-eyed lion, even though yours doesn't seem to actually have eyes:).

    I believe they are souvenirs from Africa. Some friends of my parents brought back 2 of these for my parents in the 1970s - a giraffe and a rhino.
