Light fixture decade request 184

I have this light fixture. I would like to request the decades that this was made
for insurance claim purposes because my hot water tank burst and they
got thrown out in mitigation. However, my insurance wants me to date
everything that got lost in water damage. Mitigation took this picture.

Well that sucks @rknarr2, hope you will get some money from your insurance company. Retractable lights were popular in the 1950s-1970s without seeing the complete shade it might be hard to narrow down the year

 

The other side of the shade is the same as the top half. The light fixture retracted down from the ceiling and retracted up to the ceiling. It was used at the dining room table and another one in the living room near the coffee table. I will put 1950s and move on. Thank you for the information and I will add it to the water damage list.
