    dear all

found some miniature bottles and really have no idea what to do with them. most of them show signs of evaporation, a couple totally empty bottles. they are pretty cute once i cleaned them up. check out the teeny tiny guinness stout bottle caps!

they are probably not safe to drink. any suggestions?

    regards

Once quite common on airliners and former;y available in most liquor stores. Most liquor store have stopped selling them because they became too affordable for those with addition issues.

Here they are called Miniatures, they are very common, if the Whisky is still sealed it will be ok to drink.

    Hi,
What a memory rush. I called them "Minis" in the late 50s early 60s. I had over 150 of them all different. I still think I have two or three hanging around here somewhere. They were easy to store and display. Some of them I remember selling since the company who made them went of of business.

I recall a store in Las Vegas that sold nothing but these!
This was loooooooooooog ago now and FAR off The Strip so not located for visitors.

    Hi,
In PA all liqueur was sold in state run stores. The ones there did not have a large choice but when I went to NC through VA we would stop at a store every so often and see what they had for sale. Never had a list, the list was in my mind so no doubles.

I rarely, if ever, drink booze.
    Wine once in awhile.
I found something on SF's Fisherman's Wharf I've never found again.
I think it was spelled; Bellangelo.
    Italian almond liqueur.

I am not a drinker either, but this is interesting as often at estate sales I see these mini bottles while I am looking for swizzle sticks to sell. Are these mini bottles for collecting only or for drinking???... other than what Davey mentioned.

I'm not a drinker either but Mom loves her Johnny Walker so I usually get her a bottle at Christmas so I do occasionally visit the liquor store. The miniatures are still around but a lot of the bottles are plastic now. Guess it keeps the shipping rated down. As far as I know these are not collectible but if they are let me know. I have a bunch of these from the 1980's. And can someone please explain to me why cinnamon whiskey is so popular with college students. I keep finding those little plastic bottles in the alley behind my house. I just can't imagine that combo is anything but awful!:vomit:

Sounds awful to me too, although I don't drink much of anything any more. Maybe it appeals to those underage "kids" who haven't yet developed a sophisticated palate and want to get drunk as fast as they can? Maybe the cinnamon hides the whiskey on their breath?
