Featured Little paw charm, A gift from my Dad

My dad gave me this little charm for Christmas. He tells me he had to make an appointment to shop at a friends local antique and collectibles store so he would be the only one there because of Covid. At 83 he is finding ways to get around without exposing himself.
Anyway this charm has a maker mark an S with a slash through it.with a copyright mark and was wondering if anyone might know who made it. It's just a simple little sterling charm but I love it.

Sweet - that's one of the variants of Shube's 'Sb' trademark, if I recall correctly, should date from the mid '80s into the first few years of this century...

@916Bulldogs123 I’ve just seen a ring with a very similar S with a slash through it attributed to Schubes.
Possible match although the slash isn’t quite the same angle?. I haven’t researched anything about Schubes so I may be way off!

Took a few minutes to investigate, since I've never fully understood the Shube's Mfg./Dakota West Designs connection (both in Albuquerque, NM), and still don't - the 'Sb' mark is often identified as Dakota West, still using the 'Sb' mark, and there is clearly a connection, but years ago, found the Shube's 'Sb' trademark was cancelled in 2002. Apparently the charms are still being produced under the Rapid City, SD based TRJ Concepts 'Absolutely Charming' line, no idea how they are marked, and don't want to think about it anymore...
