Featured "Little Sweethearts", looking for information

Can anyone tell me anything about this picture, titled "Little Sweethearts" , Academy Edition, Family Herald and Weekly Star Montreal Canada.
We purchased this about 53 years ago and cannot seem to find anything about it.

That is a sweet, charming picture.

 

Bronwen, thank goodness you showed up to help Alyson (a new member) with information about her picture.

 

Montreal newspapers often included colour supplement chromolithographs in the paper in the old days.
I've seen examples of other images, almost always sentimental - probably included to get the lady of the turn-of-the century household to pressure hubby to subscribe to the publications.

 

It's hard to get in ahead of I Need Help. And yes, welcome Alyson.

This picture is still in the same frame from when we purchased it back then.. The frame is fragile and chipping off.. I do not mind it's shape, but would it be wise to reframe it?

 

if u like the image enuf to spend money on it......then yes.

 

I have been wondering about this print for years.

 

I wouldn't reframe it. Part of its charm is the original, period frame.

Might not hurt to change the mat as it is probably not acid free
