Is this a lamp shade or something else? It measures 6"H x 11.5"W, the opening measures 9". any help would be greatly appreciated. It is iridescent with the red veins running through or along the glass and not applied after the fact. Loetz? l1.jpg

I'd guess Pallme Konig & Habel rather than Loetz, they were quite fond of threading, but that's just a quick guess.
It may be made to hang upside down also.

I think you'll find that the red veins are actually applied to the surface but due to the small volume of material and the heat, have actually fused deeply into the surface, appearing to be integral to the shade.

    So it's a lamp shade?

Yes, I think it must be ...what else could it be?

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

And this looks like it probably sat in a metal rim for the lamp shade...so I'd agree!!! Very Pretty!!

99 times out of 100, the shade is broken/missing...
