It's smaller than a dinner plate, 21cm in diameter, and marked L&R. There are some impressed marks too, probably design-related: TK, 16 14 2 .... I thought it might be a decorator at first but it's a printed mark with an ampersand. The plate has some vague indo-persian influence. The top is molded with raised areas and the paint is applied on and around those, probably to resemble jeweling. It turned up in a fundraiser tag sale this morning.

    It's very pretty.
    Sorry, I can't help.
I was looking at Bulgarian ceramics and saw some French pieces - not the same, but with the enamelling.
    French?

That's what I was thinking, unless it's German.

Please forgive me, if it’s a dumb question, but I am seeing TK as - Impressed TK of Count Thun's Porcelain Factory, Klosterle, Bohemia....
Is that possible? Or could TK be on anything?

I think it's just a pattern number, but someone who knows porcelain will chime in sooner or later.

It reminds me strongly of bone china I've seen in Turkey.

It's certainly possible; nothing would surprise me at this point.

Sure looks like. I figured it had to be 19th century somewhere.

I wish the marks would be found. It’s seems to be German/Austrian or there abouts, Persian themed.

...and probably headed right where I was planning to send it in the first place - a friend's box of Chanukkah goodies.
