Featured Longshot studio pottery ID

This bottle was interesting to me at the antique show last weekend. It's just under 11". What I thought was a chop mark looks in the bright sunlight to actually be a date of 2004. Otherwise there a scribbled incision.

It's a longshot, but does anyone have any comments?

looks similar, but the base , to me is completely different....so...?????

illustrious ?............ surely you jest ? no one here by that name ....

 

dust some baby powder on the siggy....

 

or some flour or cayenne pepper or cinnamon or take a pencil/crayon and paper and lift it

 

I'm not sure it makes anything all that much clearer.... but who knows?

First thought was Sara. My sister is beginning to make pottery. I’m going to try to convince her to put a plainly identifiable mark on her work just in case she’s collected at some point.

 

That certainly seems possible. Not gonna be an easy name to pin down....

 

might be easier from the way the date is written...
