Hi, I'm new to this forum (very pleased to have found you all!) And have a necklace that I would live some opinion on. I bought it in a charity shop for £4 and was going to sell it on ebay but have decided I love it too much that I have kept it (I do this a lot). I'm guessing Art Deco and either Czech or Venetian? I hope the photos are OK but I'm having trouble uploading images. Thank you so much

I say Venetian (or Murano), but others will be along soon to say for sure.

I agree with Murano, and very pretty. My mother had a necklace like this, she bought it in the 50s.

I have a few of these over the years from the 50's as well. Positively Murano. Looks like a very nice necklace.

The gold in the glass is aventurine. If you Ebay search: "Murano aventurine glass bead necklace" you will find similar.

    Pretty!:)

Venetian. And agree post-War. My grandmother bought a similar strand on Murano in the 1960s.

How long is your necklace, Alma Rose? That's helpful for dating as fashions come and go. (1950s going to be a bit shorter than 1960s.)

    5th-ing the 1950s.
They are probably choker length. Lovely.
Buy or make an extender so you can wear them.

Welcome, Alma Rose! Lovely beads and I concur with the members above. Your images are fabulous! What kind of camera do you use? And you took them in natural light?
