I inherited a few abstract paintings by an artist who signed as "L. Schoenfeld Lehrer", the painting are from the 1980's, probably in New York. I have searched everywhere and can find no info. Has anyone ever heard of this person? Thanks in advance.

Would/could you post a photograph of the entire work please from both back and front including frame?

It looks like a watercolor on paper, in a cheap metal frame.

How about Laure Schoenfeld Lehrer of Great Neck? Would that be the right neck of the woods? Apparently she was an artist.

Debora - You are awesome! My grandparents lived in Great Neck, so that makes a lot of sense. I cannot thank you enough for your skills and assistance.

Off topic but... JBKing, I suggest checking the acidity of your matting. The bevel appears quite tan in your picture.

Yes, no acid free backing so I will be changing that. Thanks again.
