Looking for information on this antique button hook. Fell out of an old dresser that we purchased.

    This is the crest / handle on an old button hook that fell out of antique dresser. Can’t seem to find same one anywhere. Can anybody help with identification?

    Looks like the coat of arms....or town crests.....from an entire region !!!

    I think it is English.

    If you get a little silver polish and clean it, we might be able to make out some of the coat of arms.

    It's probably marked on the back. Did you check?

    That is the cross of St George, but it's not just used here.
