Featured Looking for Maker of Deco Kneeling Woman with Flowers Figurine

    This 8" figurine is glazed and solid cream color. It is marked on the base in black letters. I think I see "W A R E" after 3 unidentified characters. The black characters under this curved mark are a mystery. I believe all the petals and leaves were hand-
    formed and applied.

    If you notice the scratch characters on the base, some previous owner pen-engraved their name and Social Security #. Doh! Some folks mid-century thought if you had your SS# on things then when they were recovered after theft (unlikely) the police would know to who to return them.

    Any ideas on maker? Many thanks!

    There's something engraved/dremeled into the base too. "...ONES .. 02..." - possibly the original owner's name, from when doing that for insurance was in vogue.

    Yes, @evelyb30 , I mentioned the engraving in my first post. At least this person's scratchings were legible! Doesn't add to the value of the figurine, though! :dead:

    There are 3 Ilaware pcs. on eBay now. Not sold yet, none like this. A similar one to mine with much damage and colored glazes has not sold.
