Looks Like Hummel but has a Japan music box help ID bottom missing

    This item is 6 1/4" tall with a missing the bottom

    Hi,
    Japanese hummel. Real Hummel's have I M Hummel engraved around the rim. During WWll "hummels" were made in the USA after the world Japan started to make them also.

    Hummel wannabe, but not Hummel. You can find a lot of similar ones if you search for umbrella kids music box.

    Yup, not a Hummel. Circa 1970 I have the exact same one that I received as a graduation gift.
