I've always loved this piece and would love to know about it. How old is it? Where might it be from?

It's in two separate pieces with the bottom drawer being in the lower section. Some of the drawers are made with three wonky looking dovetails and others have four. It's got a couple of little veneer chips below the bottom drawer and the front feet are worn, but otherwise it's in good shape. I included a pic of the bottom drawer and one of the middle drawers to show the color differences between the two.

    It's 58" tall and 30" wide.

Nice bit of matched burr walnut veneer, that.

20th-century revival Queen Anne highboy in USA, one of the Georges in GB.

If it's Queen Anne, that would predate the Georges, but IIRC George I came right after her. It's a pretty piece. Pain in the neck to move, but pretty.

The pics are making it look bigger than it is! It's really rather petite. It's 58" tall and 30" wide or 147cm x 76cm. I moved it myself by putting the top in the trunk and the base in the back seat of the car. We certainly have enjoyed it.

I'm surprised it's that new. What part of the 20th do think, @James Conrad?

Pretty Queen Anne revival piece. Wear is commensurate with an early 20th century date. Could easily be an antique in its own right.

    Edward rather than George.

I'd guess Ghopper is close, 1st quarter 20th so still antique, just not period.
    Very attractive burl.

Or George V? His reign started out with the Edwardian stuff and ended up in Deco. (bit of a shift there)

The style of the piece in USA is Queen Anne, our QA period is 1720s-1760.
In GB it would usually be a decade or two earlier. Ditto with most 18th century styles, it took time in those days for styles/fashion to cross the pond.
It almost does not matter when revival or in the style of pieces were built, they are either period pieces or they are not.

I don't think it's as late as V, it looks Teddy to me.
