    Hi,
I picked up this pair and trying to figure out what they are. At first I thought for candles but not the right size, maybe a table lighter missing the lighter part?
    Each one is 2 1/2"H, 3 1/2" diameter, the inner space is 1 1/2" x 1 1/4" deep.
On the base there is an impressed T, B1456 A B - no idea who made them.
    Any information appreciated!
    Thanks for looking.

I'd say they fall under the heading "crested ware". I've had pieces with English themes made by Goss, Shelley, Ford & Pointon, and Waterfall Heraldic China in England, and Gemma of Czecho-Slovakia. I had a piece showing Irish provinces signed Deanta sat t-Siopain, which someone told me is the Gaelic for Made in Japan. Who knows who else?

The Waterfall was marked with a 4-letter code.

See match holders, Carlton ware did similar crested pots, I found one that looks like yours for size shape etc except it has a textured surface.
Sorry I don't know how to do the direct link to the one I found, the tech defeats me.
