Featured Maker of 1940s Doll? Not Nora Wellings?

Does anyone know who made this c. 1940s canvas and cloth doll? She has a hand-painted face, yarn hair and felt clothing. She is similar to the Nora Wellings dolls but is not quite right. The expression does not look animated enough to me and her round Anglo eyes make no sense with her Chinese costume. Her hands are crude, with no sewn finger details. I only found one example of a Wellings with stumpy hands. No marks or tags anywhere. Thank you!

Company history here. Best known for Raggedy Ann & Andy dolls.

Wow! Best answer awarded, Bookahtoo, thank you! It's startling how much fresher, plumper and brighter the Etsy one is. Didn't someone post a link awhile back to reverse-check what things sold for on Etsy and other sites? I've already misplaced the resource.
