It would be helpful just to have the mark deciphered so I could do the research myself. And, of course, if anyone recognizes it, well, the Antiquers' brain does it again.

Ring is an even size 7 and was sold by a jewelry store in Missouri, so seems reasonable to believe it was made in the US. My best guess is that it dates 1930s - 40s.

If Antiquers is a brain, you are the frontal cortex! I don't think Deep Blue could do it any faster. Definitely the Felger mark. I wasn't sure if they were all Fs, or some were Ps; whether marks at beginning & end were just triangles or something more. Spectacular yet again!

Finally getting around to listing a few things for sale. Knowing this will make me sound so professional.:kiss:

When I set off to find out something about Felger, couldn't turn up a company history, but sure found a lot of very highly priced pieces of jewelry. They were already sending out traveling salesmen as early as 1893 & Fred seems to have hit the Midwest every year all through the early 1900s. My ring is in its original box, which gives some further clues about age, so have to date it to a later time.

Swapped out 'Vintage' for 'Felger' in listing title. We'll see how it turns out. Won't be activated until next week.

I found a bunch of the circulars, going back to one from 1893. Fred seems to have traveled a lot. Couldn't find anything later than the earlier 20s. May have gone out of publication.

In one of them there is not only a mention as a traveler from Newark for that year but also for the firm as one of the biggest creditors of a Chicago jeweler that declared bankruptcy.
