I received these from inheritance but the clasp was damaged and changed before I got them. I have confirmed with a jeweler they are real but how do i get an original clasp to show their real value.

Why is the clasp important to show that they are in fact real Mikimoto ...
    &
How did a jeweler know that they were authentic Mikimoto....by other than the box ??

These are burning questions I have....:playful::wideyed::wideyed:

That's a Miki mark all right! I can't see if there's one on the OP's set and the clasp looks wrong.

The OP already said that the clasp on hers was damaged and replaced with a non-Mikimoto one. She just wants to know how to get a proper one.

IMO they can only possibly be authenticated my Mikimoto as suggested by Debora. IMO a jeweler could only authenticate them as genuine cultured pearls and nothing more since they’re now strung with an inexpensive Chinese clasp. Contact Mikimoto!

I know you did. I was replying to Ruth's post above mine. ;) Should have done the the reply with a quote thing, I guess.

I said Komo's looked legit, but the one on the OP's necklace looked wrong. I couldn't see a mark on it and those fishhook clasps are common. I'm not good enough at pearls to be entirely sure they're Mikis without the signed clasp. Personally I'd suspect not but I'm no expert on pearls.

I agree. If the clasp was damaged and had to be replaced, the whole necklace would have had to have been restrung (because there wouldn't be enough string at the ends to secure a new clasp). Why would you put a cheap clasp on if you go to the trouble of restringing it, especially for a higher quality name like Mikimoto? I think the box is just a false lead, but if OP is convinced they're real, the right thing to do is to get them looked at by Mikimoto and get them certified by them.

ETA: I guess they could have been restrung by the owner, and they weren't concerned with what clasp they used, but I find that less likely than the possibility that they're not Mikimoto.
