    Hi all.

Picked these up this morning.only have couple of pictures from the shop. they still have to be collected.they have some age and wear snd tear to them.

Am wondering does anyone know it this is a genuine mantellassi badge on this chair.

Any info on the chairs would be great.

Thank you for any help as always. 20250624_105030_resize_78.jpg 20250624_110037_resize_31.jpg 20250624_110021_resize_69.jpg

This is not a maker that I am familiar with. That said, I see no reason to doubt the badge. Is it likely that such a fake badge would even be made?

    Thanks verybrad.

Yea i hadnt come across the maker before but looking the furniture up online it is italian made and fairly pricey like pieces with prices n the thousands so thats why i am checking to see if anyone might be familliar with it.

I see no reason to doubt the badge either as online it mentiones the maker has a peacock collection but just checking if anyone has any info on it.

    Thanks again for the input

To my eye, the plaque, with its sans-serif font, isn't the same period as the chairs. I'd be a bit suspicious too as it appears much later. And, from the internet... "The Peacock collection is composed of drawer, sideboard, coffee table, dressing table and TV cabinet." No chairs.‎

I just sent them a message hopefully they will come back to me.

Am wondering has anyone any experience or has come across this furniture before.looking them up the chairs do seem to be of a style the company have made before and am reading that they custome make furniture also for clients and also for hotels ive seen.

Would be great if the plawue could be verified alright.

Maybe someone has come across it before

    Thanks for help

Orange/red leather on the back, these look to have some high end construction. No reason to believe these are not by the maker on the label, IMO.

A helpfull lady emailed me back today from mantellassi saying that my description of the plaque sounds like an older one of theirs. i emailed her a picture ot the plaque and chairs and she confirmed that the plaque and chairs were produced by them.
So a good result i would say.

Thank you all for the imput and the direction.ye have been most helpfull as always.

The fabric looks in good condition enough so maybe a good clean would be an idea or anybody think they be better re upholstered..what ye think?

    Thanks again

Great! But how old is "older"? No to reupholstering. Expensive and would effect resale value.

And Google shows: It is logo of Mantellassi 1926.

If you're telling us that logo dates to 1926, you will have to show us your source.

    @Debora :hilarious:
I don't know you all well enough yet to lie to you already.:hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:
I didn't show it, because I was sure that lately everybody who checked it thru Google Lens, already saw it and I didn't save this source. But this chair is mystic chair. Now Google showed me different information, but then again showed me the same information I saw yesterday. Here is both of them.
1st picture: the only information I saw yesterday and 2nd one I just saw today. Now there are both of them depend how close you will search the gold emblem.

Ah, so the 1926 is the company's founding date which is incorporated into the company's logo. So the question is... When did the company start using that logo?

I was thinking it was happened in same time in "1926", but looks like I am wrong (?) If there is no another same plaque and this one is so rare, probably it is because was used long time ago.
@Martin s Here is company who is doing replica of Mantellasi furniture (at least what they advertised.) Maybe they know anything about your gold plaque.

    Thanks for information!
But it is interesting what material this plaque made from. It doesn't looks like brass: it is too clean and shiny for "old" brass.
